“Kittens and sleeping – literally my two favorite things. In a perfect world everyone who would take afternoon naps and warm sleeping kittens would be provided. But these cute (and super easy) kitty sleep masks are a close second. Whether you’re napping on a road trip, getting some red-eye rest while you jet set, or just needing some serious beauty sleep, these kittens will help keep you happily in snooze land.”
- Felt (white for the eyes, pink for the nose and ears, and then several colors for fur)
- Fabric Glue
- Scissors
- Elastic
- Pen/Pencil (for tracing)
- Fabric Pins
- Batting (fluffy filling)
- Download the Kitty mask pattern.
- Trace your kitty mask shape. Use the handy PDF if you’d like! Fold your felt in half, so you can cut out both sides at once, pin the printed pdf on top of your felt, and cut along the lines.
- Cut out all your little felt shapes for decorating your mask. Glue them down with your fabric glue and allow to dry.
- While those dry, measure your elastic band around your head, so it fits comfortably and snug. Glue the ends of the elastic onto the inside of the back felt piece at the sides.
- Arrange your batting on the inside of the back piece, and lay your front piece over. Slowly being gluing down the edges of the front and back. Use fabric pins to hold the two pieces together if needed!
- Allow to dry. Now you’re ready for a cat nap!
