Triscuit + Serrano Ham + Manchego Cheese + Watermelon

This decadent appetizer is one part crunchy, two parts salty and one part

sweet. And it couldn’t be better.
Watermelon-FinalIngredients:
– Triscuit crackers
– serrano ham
– manchego cheese

add a small piece of manchego cheese and a tiny bite of watermelon.

This flavor combination will leave an aftertaste you’ll want to keep forever.
Party-Flowers-and-FigIngredients:
– Triscuit crackers
– Brie cheese
– fig jam
– Marcona almonds

We went for goat cheese brie!
Fig-Brie-Almond-Triscuit-RecipeFirst try to cut a wedge of Brie cheese to add to your Triscuit. If your cheese is too gooey, just smear some on top. Then add a touch of fig jam for some sweetness, and finish off with a single marcona almond.
Fig-FirstYou’ll have a spring in your step after you eat a few of these!

Triscuit + Smoked Salmon + Avocado + Lemon Juice

A classic pairing of smoked salmon and avocado tastes light and fresh atop a Triscuit. Douse it with a squeeze of lemon to bring out the flavors.
Salmon-FinalIngredients:
– Triscuit crackers
– smoked salmon
– avocado
do to check on the color. If it’s bright green, your avocado is perfectly ripe.
Salmon-Triscuit-RecipeAdd some smoked salmon to your cracker, then top it with a small slice of avocado. Simply add a few drops of lemon to the top for a citrus kick.
Salmon-Triscuit-FirstFlavor-packed FTW! Triscuit crackers are made for more… and more they get with these amazing toppings. Not a fan of salmon? Not a problem. There are so many topping combinations that taste great with Triscuit. The possibilities are endless!

Floral Centerpiece

Party-Overhead

To amp up our theme, we made a floral centerpiece in pink hues.
Flower-ArrangementPick up some seasonal flowers and greens from a nearby market, some floral foam and a vase. Start out by soaking your foam. Next, add your greens, then your focal flowers and finally your fillers. Check out our Floral Design Class for more tips and tricks.
Final-Flower-ArrangementSo pretty!

DIY Table Weights

Sometimes spring brings breezy weather, so to keep your tablecloth from blowing in the wind, use these DIY table weights.
WashersSimply grab a two-inch diameter washer from a hardware store, then print out our donut printables and tape them on top.
Donut-Washer-Table-Weight

Spring Garland

A floral garland is a must!
Party-SetupFor this DIY, we got large flower pots and filled them with sand. Then we purchased two rods and had them cut to six and a half feet. We added eye hooks to the top, then strung flowers on twine and hung them between the eye hooks. Bury your rods in the sand to hold your garland up over the table. For extra cute points, get mini balloons that spell “spring,” and string them alongside the flowers.
Party-Flower-GarlandServe fairy bread and bellinis for a sweet finish. Your friends will just LOVE this little soirée.
Fairy-BreadWe cut out our fairy bread with flower-shaped cookie cutters to go the extra

mile.
Party-CheersingCheers to the warmer weather!

7 Things You Can’t Wear After Labor Day

We’re not ones to buy into so-called fashion rules. In fact, we think most are pretty lame—especially those that mandate what you can and cannot wear once Labor Day ends. (Um, white shoes are a must year round, people.)

However, there are a few particular things that should be packed away once summer ends, not because any hard-and-fast rules exist, but rather because they simply are so seasonal, that they’ll look out of place come fall. Most of these items are fabric related—lighter textiles such as airy white cotton, linen, canvas, and seersucker probably won’t be of use to you during the autumn months.
Below, here are 7 things you probably want to think about packing away once labor day weekends comes to a close. The good news? You still have five days to work ’em into your outfits!

Eyelet

Perhaps the most summery fabric of all, delicate eyelet is made from super lightweight cotton that’s just not made for fall.
If you love the look of delicate eyelet, try: Mesh pieces as the weather gets cooler—it’s thicker and more seasonal.

Photo: With Love

A big floppy straw hat

Nothing says summer more than a glamorous oversize straw hat—which is why they should be packed away after Labor Day.

If you love the look of a big straw beach hat, try: A felt or wool version for fall. You can quite literally replicate the hat’s drama, just in a more seasonally-appropriate fabric.
Photo: What Olivia Did

Flower crowns

Flower crowns, flower headbands, or fresh flowers in your hair reads way too summery for fall. Proof: would you wear a flower crown with sweaters and jackets? Probably not, right?
If you love the look of flower crowns, try: Another killer hair accessory, like a knotted headscarf, a turban, or a headchain.

Photo: Late Afternoon

Floral Short-Shorts

Floral short-shorts doesn’t really translate past the summer months. Why? Because they’ll look strange paired with any fall staples like ankle boots, sweaters, or leather jackets, or tights.
If you love the look of floral shorts, try: Distressed denim shorts in basic blue. These still work in the fall when paired with all of the above.
Photo: Seams for a Desire

Light linen

Linen is another fabric that—like eyelet—should be packed away once summer ends, thanks to its light weight, easy-to-wrinkle makeup, and overall breezy appearance.
If you like the look and feel of linen, try: Fall-appropriate chambray instead.

Photo: Late Afternoon

Seersucker

Another quintessentially summer fabric, seersucker should be reserved for beach weekends, barbecues, and boat trips.
If you love the look of seersucker, try: Breton striped shirts. They’ve got a similar nautical vibe, but can be worn all fall and winter.

Photo: Brit Brit Land

Strapless maxi dresses

Nothing says summer like a loose, printed floor-grazing maxi dress in a super-lightweight fabric, especially strapless varieties.
If you love the look of loose maxi dresses, try: A long-sleeve version. They still have the breezy boho factor, but look incredibly chic and seasonal when paired with anything from pumps to boots.

How can you be a better looking guy?

Style-guys
16 is a good time to start or later or sooner.
Weight loss is good.  I wouldn’t start there.
I would first begin with self care i.e.  Make sure you have good soap and water and shower or bathe daily.  A good woman likes a clean man.  I never understood that stuff about scruffy and unclean and no bathing.  That to me is wrong and stupid and unhealthy.  If you already do this, good for you.

I would find one healthy food that you like and concentrate on easing that into your food that you already like to eat.  Once you get the good food in then remove one thing that is a junk food….pizza, candy, hamburgers, French fries, cake, pie, cookies, soda, tacos, ice cream….just one, not all.  Pick one good food: apples, oranges, watermelon, cantaloupe, lettuce, tomatoes, yams, green beans, spinach, collard greens, kale…just one, not all….and slowly introduce it into your meal plan.  Easy on the dressings and sauces.

I would read like you are doing on Quora and learn about how people think and act.  This is a good, safe forum.  Or, go to the library and pick out a book and read it.  Don’t read on line.  Actually hold the book in your hand and read it.  “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus”.  There are tons of good books.  Take some home and read a little each night….just a page or two….not the whole book.  You need your sleep.

I would go to bed by 10pm after you have done your chores.
At the library, find magazines that show you how you would like to look and make a copy for you to bring home.  Put them on your door or wall in your room.  If you can, put them on your closet door where no one can see them but you.

I would get some good shampoo and conditioner for your hair.  Wash and rinse your hair well with warm, warm water.  Don’t leave anything in.  Only leave in leave in hair dressing.  Brush your hair every night with a good clean brush.

Drink water like it is going out of style.  If you hate the taste, put a little juice in it ……not too much.
Find a good hair stylist and get a nice hair cut.  Don’t go to a cheap place.  Find a good salon near you and watch how the stylist cuts hair. Get a fresh haircut every 8 weeks. It is probably more than you can pay. But, a good hair cut especially for men is a great thing.

I would get a part time job close to your house.  If your parents don’t want you to work, ask them what you can do in the house for money.  Don’t get your chores mixed up with the work you do for money.  Keep them separate.  And don’t ever expect your parents to pay you for chores.  That is your contribution to the household where you get to live for freeeeeeeeeeeeee.  Don't talk trash and mean to your parents ever....even if you think things are not right.  Just be nice and do your school work.  Keep quiet or talk pleasant to them....like hey, how ya doin' and smile a lot and listen to them.

Women like men that provide security.  Become a man that can and will do that for the ladies you like.  Don’t do something like go up to them and say….I am here to provide you with security. They will laugh you out of the room. While in the library read about what providers do.  It is not what you think it is.  I guaranty it.

This is a start to being a better looking man. Takes time and work.  Oh darn, there is that four letter word,,,,,,work. Yep.

You can do it.  Stop feeling sorry for yourself and if you really think you are depressed after you do these suggestions then go to a clinic and see a doctor or counselor for help.
Contact here when you have done some of these things and they are actually part of your life and let us know how you are doing.

Seven Major Fashion Trends that Rocked in 2015

Fashion Trends Girls

still cant believe 2015 is almost ended, we have just a day left to say goodbye forever? I want to say 2015 wasnt my year but then this is the year , I brought forth my firstborn and that in my books make up for every other setback so yeah 2015 was a great one for me. I hope to make better strands financially in 2016 though but this post is not about my resolutions but rather about the trends that banged this year, as we all know, the 70s did a major comeback this year, the A – Line minis, the Flares, Suede, Velvet, Fur to mention but a few, there were so many cool trends this year , matter of fact, in my opinion, this was the year of experimenting and owning your style.

PS – I know some of you unlike me tend to stay away from trends but surely you must have fallen hard on your face flat for one of these trends, so tell me, what trend really got you this year and what trend would you not be caught dead in?

Camel beige colored outfit is a must-have for those ladies who want something unique and individual. Go for a nice fedora, knitted oversized sweater, relaxed skirt and white sneakers::

Sneakers everything – I am totally crushing on this trend especially the white sneaks but then if you are a regular on the blog, you would know by now, it was on my christmas wishlist and Santa aka the mail man is about to make it happen asap. Sneakers ruled this year, it was worn with everything, with dinner dresses, suits, maxis, midis every damn thing and the surprise for me was how cool it looked, seriously who would have thought sneakers with suits?

Want to dress like Olivia Palermo at New York Fashion Week? Well thanks to the high street you can, and for just £21... http://lookm.ag/Jl73vz:

Culottes – aka coolottes was major this year, there is just something cool , chic and easy about a pair of culottes worn with flats or heels, they were tricky to wear though especially if you aint tall and slim, you needed to get one that hit just right to avoid cutting off your legs and making you appear frumpy and the rest is easy peasy, dressed down or up, they were a hit.

21 Times Christian Louboutin Wedding Shoes Made Us Fall in Love - wedding shoes;:

Lace up Heels – For real, these shoes sexified everything, like you could literally wear a sac , tie on these pair of sex on your feets and watch yourself transform into a sexy siren, excuse the pun but that’s how bad these were.

Flare Pants – I loved this trend though for some reason, I never committed to it, I think after I missed out on those lovely ones by Zara that  almost every budget fashionista had, I just kinda blanked it out, its hard to find one with the exaggerated flare, high waist and budget friendly.

#Inspired:

OvertheKnees boots – Once upon a time, OTK boots were seen as doing too much and very hard to pull off but this year , its like people threw fucks to the air and finally tamed these boots, they were worn ever so simply on a jean pants, with minis, midis and even maxis.

green suede dress with boots:

Suedette – They came in almost everything, from coats to dresses, shoes, bags, skirts, everything sueded this season and I was fully on board, just take a look at my outfit post, click the WHAT I WORE menu.

Model-Off-Duty Style: Elsa Hosk Masters The '70s Denim Skirt Trend:

A – Line Mini Skirt – It was the year of the legs wasn’t it? Midis were ditched for these A-Line beauties and the best part, they looked good on every body shape and fit so easy with almost anything.

What Can We Learn from the Japanese Style Sense?

japanese-fashion-ladies
We all seen a few pictures of people walking down on streets in Japan, and we do sometimes get pretty amazed how stylish and yet so unique they look. In Japan, style is all about being different and standing out, and this is why we have so much to learn from their style sense as well.
So, if you want to be unique, stylish and embrace your style and personality a lot more — check these few things we can learn from fashionable people of the Rising Sun country and incorporate that into your daily life. Along with these tips, you will never miss the shot of being in style!

Wear brands clothing but the minimum the better

japanese fashion men

Since Japanese want to stand out more than anything, they tend to stay away from mass produced brand clothing. But they are not saying that you should keep away from that at all! What you need to do instead is to buy only the core and essential items that can be mixed and matched with other unique ones perfectly. So such classical elements like black pants or navy blazers are totally okay and acceptable.
Moreover, you can always find some pretty unique pieces even at worldly famous brands too. For example, at Ralph Lauren stores we can surely find something fun and unique. So check that store for the start (don’t forget to use some Ralph Lauren deals and coupons) and discover your style!

Layers and layers after layers

Well, one of the first things that can be quite easily noticed on Japanese streets is that people do love layering. For them, it is quite unusual to wear only one layer of clothing, even if that is summer.
So if you want to take the best out of Japanese style — start layering your outfits. You are totally welcome to do that in many various types too! Match a dress with something like a cardigan sweater, or a vest on top. Also, don’t be afraid to put together a complete outfit by adding something like a fedora and a light-weight jacket for a more relaxed casual look. Just layer!

Break the rules

Another fashion tip that Japanese can give you is to break the rules of fashion and better create your own unique style! Forget about matching colours, fabrics or styles.
Dress whatever you like. If you feel that fusion colored button-down jean shirt will work perfect with a tailored jacket — what the h*ll — dress like that! The essential tip here would be finding your unique style while experimenting. So if you are brave enough and want to be a step closer to fashionistas in Japan start breaking the rules!

Pick one primary element

japanese fashion
For more put together look, choose one central element of your outfit and accentuate it. It can also be whatever you wish or feel like. A colour, a cut, or a jacket. Anything goes!
For example, you can find many people in Tokyo wearing all black outfits, but with a little peak of red in shoelaces or belts. Or it can be all of one colour with one piece of the outfit in entirely different one. The accent piece can be absolutely everything you wish for, but in Japan guys and gals tend to choose one from the following: scarves, fedoras, ties, pointy shoes, loafers, boots or converse. So just pick one element and make it be a star of your outfit for a day!

Overdress rather than under-dress

For the end, Japanese fashionistas tend to overdress themselves rather than be under-dress. In fact, overdressing in this country is one of the most organic and standard ways of standing out, and you can use that at your hometown too. Guys, don’t be afraid to pull a business suit on casual days, or get a blazer then going out.
For ladies, little black dresses or sparkly outfit elements is also acceptable. It will create a very sophisticated look and make you look very stylish. So if you want to start thinking like a Japanese fellow, you need to take more time and dress pretty and fancy!

How to Be Sexy, Yet Classy

There have been very few women throughout history that have managed to ride the very fine line between sexy and classy. Elizabeth Taylor is one. That woman walks into a room and commands attention. Why? Because she is hot, but not in a slutty or stupid-girl kind of way. She clearly has character and grace, in addition to her sex appeal

That’s just the kind of persona that Julia Roberts was going for (and succeeded at, in my opinion) in her role in the movie Pretty Woman. When she got dressed up in that elegant, floor length red gown for the Opera, it was clear why Richard Gere couldn’t take his eyes off her. She was beautiful, sensual and elegant. What woman doesn’t dream of that at some point in her life?

Although you may not live a life like Liz Taylor or have someone buy you top designer outfits like Julia Roberts, you can still dress in a manner that will get a man’s blood pumping without suggesting that you’re easy. You just have to know a few pointers.

Don’t bare it all

amazing-blond-woman-with-blue-eyes

Some women go overboard in an attempt to prove their sexiness by wearing outfits that show cleavage, reveal their midriff and are cut clear up to their hips. While it’s great to have full body confidence, that doesn’t mean that you have to show it all for the world to see. Not all at once anyway.

There’s nothing appealing about a woman who leaves nothing to the imagination. Half the fun of being with someone else is exploring their body and learning it firsthand. If you show it all from day one, what incentive is there to look any further? He’ll see what he wanted to see and move on.

The key to being sexy but still retaining your class is to only show one area at a time. If you want to show off your chest then go for it, but leave your legs and tummy covered up. Or, if you are proud of your belly and all the work you’ve put into keeping it slim and trim, then reveal some flesh, but wear something that doesn’t show off your other areas at the same time.

Be mysterious

When other people have to wonder what you’re about because you’re not a tell-all type of woman, that’s when you climb the ladder of sex appeal. You create this aura that draws people in and makes them want to know you more.

As women, this can be a hard one to master. Why? Because we’re talkers. We like to share almost everything about ourselves, from our thoughts to our feelings, and our fears to our victories. We’re willing to tell you pretty much everything you want to know.

However, if you can just keep some of your personal issues under wraps, you’ll find that the mysteriousness will work for you. It makes you hard to figure out which is appealing to many men. They like the challenge of seeing if they can get you to open up.

It’s like a hunting expedition to them. They will use their skills to pursue you and will work relentlessly on learning more about you until they get the information they’re out to get. The longer you hold out, the more intrigued they become, and the sexier you are to them.

Mind your posture

Being suggestive yet tasteful is more than just about the clothes you wear. It’s about what kind of presence you portray. It’s about how you stand and how you walk and the self-esteem you show.
Julia Roberts is a great example of this. In her role in Pretty Woman she started out as a woman with very poor posture. She was always slouching and constantly being reminded to sit up straight. And, did you notice what a difference it made when she actually corrected it?
She went from looking just okay to being absolutely phenomenal! You could see on her face and in her walk that she knew she was special and the more you watched her, the more you knew it too.
A woman who is self-assured and not willing to be pushed around is the icon of sexiness and character. She’s the woman that men love to love and women love to hate.

Keep your manners

When you think of the women through time that were able to walk the tight rope act between classy and sexy, one thing always shines through and that is their manners. They are the ones that would say please, thank you and excuse me. They didn’t walk all over anyone else to get where they wanted to go. They lived with style and grace.

You can be firm without being aggressive. You can make sure that no one treats you like a door mat without having to pull the bitch card. Sure, there’s a time and a place when it becomes necessary, but most of the time you’ll do just as well keeping your manners in the forefront.
Never forget that other people have feelings too. A little kindness, even when it is not deserved, goes a long way. Be nice to others because that’s who you are, not because they deserve it.

Don’t be impulsive

elegant couple having dinner

Some women will never be able to pull off sexy and classy because they prefer the drama that comes with acting on impulse. When something happens, they just react without much thought. Usually it ends up with them looking pretty foolish and there’s nothing classy about that.
Just because something is happening doesn’t mean that you have to react to it right then. In fact, you shouldn’t. Best case scenario is to give the situation time to resonate before doing something you may later regret.

Does that mean that you won’t ever feel like ripping someone’s head off or crying for hours on end? No. It just means that you’ll choose to react later when you can do it on your own terms and in your own way.
When someone does something that upsets you or ticks you off, stay calm and sit on it for a while. Save yourself the embarrassment of responding in a potentially inappropriate way. After all, a woman with elegance is always a woman.

Being sexy and classy is more about attitude and character than it is about dress. The key is finding your sexiness and using it to work for you, not against you. With these tips, you’ll be able to do just that.

7 Celebrity Beauty Routines Revealed

These celebs share their beauty secrets that you’re going to want to steal. Check it out!
If you’re curious about how celebrities manage to look their best every time they step outside their home then here’s a list of celebrity beauty routines.

1. Cindy Crawford uses milk as a moisturizer

Cindy Crawford puts milk into a spray bottle and sprays her face with it throughout the day.
How it Works: Using milk as a substitute for moisturizer can help to reduce signs of aging significantly. It helps to shrink your pores, giving you a younger looking skin. If you have dry skin then it will be very beneficial as it will keep your skin moisturized and hydrated throughout the day.
You should be careful with the spray bottle though because when you spray the milk on your face it can easily get in your hair and on your clothes.

2. Miranda Kerr uses lip balm as a highlighter

Miranda Kerr applies lip balm under her eyes to make them look bright and highlighted.
How it Works: Applying lip balm under your eyes can brighten up your eyes instantly. It also soothes that particular area and nourishes it. It can reduce puffiness under your eyes as well. Lip balm is basically a great alternative for a highlighter.

3. Jennifer Love-Hewitt uses toothpaste as a pimple remover

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Lover-Hewitt uses toothpaste to get rid of and dry out pimples.
How it Works: Toothpaste contains ingredients like baking soda that can help to dry out your pimples. If you dab a little toothpaste on your pimple and leave it overnight, it will be significantly reduced in the morning. This is a quick way of getting rid of acne, but it doesn’t permanently cure it so it isn’t very beneficial in the long run.

Avoid using a gel toothpaste because it doesn’t work very well. Also, refrain from using a teeth-whitening toothpaste because it has ingredients that aren’t good for you—like bleach—which can make your skin react. This is a great alternative for acne creams when you run out of them.

Before using toothpaste, you should make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients in it because that can make your problems worse by making your skin red and irritated.

4. Julia Roberts soaks her hands in olive oil to make them soft

Julia Roberts uses olive oil to make her hands soft and nails long.
How it Works: Olive oil not only adds a great taste to your food, but is also very beneficial for your skin. Using olive oil will make your hands soft as it moisturizes and nourishes them. It cleanses your skin without clogging your pores unlike most moisturizers. Olive oil absorbs into your skin and nourishes it from within. It also helps your nails to become healthy and strong.

5. Alicia Keys sets an alarm to remind her to drink water

To keep her hydrated throughout the day, Alicia Keys sets an alarm every two hours to remind her to drink a glass of water.

How it Works: It’s hard to remember to drink water after every few hours, so setting an alarm can be very helpful. There are so many benefits to drinking water. It keeps your skin youthful, radiant and glowing. Water also helps to flush out toxins from your body.

6. Catherine Zeta-Jones uses beer to keep her hair looking healthy

Katherine Zeta Jones drenches her hair in beer to give them shine and make them look silky.
How it Works: After shampooing and conditioning your hair, douse it in beer. The primal ingredients in beer contain proteins and nutrients that are great for hair growth. The protein in beer also strengthens your hair cuticles, making your hair stronger than before while the alcohol in it cleans any excess dirt that sits on your hair after a rough day. Alcohol is notorious for making hair dry, so wash your hair with beer once a month to keep your hair from drying out.

7. Denise Richards conditions her hair with avocados

Denise Richards deep conditions her hair with avocados to lock moisture in her hair.
How it Works: Avocados will help to get rid of any tangles and knots your hair may have after a shower. With avocados, you can also combat dry and rough ends. Avocados make hair very oily, so avoid putting the paste on your scalp to keep your hair from looking unwashed and greasy.

23 Casual And Stylish Street Style With Denim Shirts

Personally, I have two chambray shirts that I can’t live without: one in a darker wash, and one in a lighter wash. I would recommend getting both, because they’re so great to have and each will feel fresh in it’s own way. I love the darker wash for fall and winter, while the lighter wash is perfect for spring and summer – but really, they can both be worn whenever.
