CREATIVE TWINKLE BABY SPRINKLE WITH BLOOM DESIGNS

gold-shower-table-setup
A baby shower is such an exciting way to celebrate a new member of your family! Although some mommy-to-be’s don’t feel that it’s necessary to have a shower after your first child, a “baby sprinkle” is the perfect alternative. Jenny from Bloom Designs put together the most adorable baby sprinkle for her sister, keeping with a gold and white theme to create a crisp and fun look. We are seriously loving all of the little details that truly made the party! Between the calligraphy invitations, wood cut-outs, and glamorous place settings, we just can’t get enough! Check out Jenny’s party below for some amazing baby shower (or baby sprinkle) inspiration:

“Since this was my sister’s second baby she wasn’t sure she wanted a shower. I am a huge believer that every baby should be celebrated and since I am a party stylist by trade, I am always looking for a reason to host a party!  We compromised on having a sprinkle rather than a full shower.  My sister wanted it to be clean, simple, and pretty and chose a color palette of mostly white with pops of metallic.  White is my favorite color so I loved working with such an elegant color scheme.
The front porch was filled with balloons and a welcome sign on the door.  Once inside, guests were greeted with a wooden twinkle cut out that perfectly matched the invitation and were asked to write a wish for the baby to be in a book.  The shower was outside on my patio which was decorated with lots of mylar balloon, pretty linens, metallic gold accents where ever possible, simple posters, and hundreds of stars. Lunch consisted of the mommy to be’s favorites- salads, roasted vegetables, cous cos and mini sandwiches.  The centerpieces were filed with all white blooms including the mommy to be’s favorites, peonies and garden roses.
The dessert table was filled with all white treats using gold accents where possible.  A two tiered simple white cake with star garland was the focal point of the table. It was filled with macarons decorated with gold stars, cake pops, mini parfaits, powdered donuts and custom sugar cookies. During the party guests were asked for baby name suggestions and filled in an advice card.”

ENTERTAIN // 5 WAYS TO SIMPLIFY YOUR HOLIDAY BRUNCH WITH GIGI MADANIPOUR

holiday-desserts
Hosting over the holidays has quite the bad rap of being costly and time consuming.  Take a cue from this holiday brunch created by Gigi of It’s a Sparkly Life and take the stress out of holiday entertaining! With beautiful details such as the naked cake and calligraphy signs, you can easily impress without much effort. We are absolutely loving the neutral and red color scheme, how beautiful is that?! Here are five easy ways that Gigi managed to create an easy, yet Pinterest worthy brunch without breaking the bank!

1. Source out
Gigi sourced out several of the food components to save valuable time. We’re not saying buy the pre-made section of your grocer, but get creative! Donuts from a local artisanal shop and oversized pretzels provided yummy snacks that were easy to display and fun to snack on for guests. A cereal bar also added a twist for adults and kids alike. None of these particular things were especially expensive but definitely got everyone’s attention!

2. Back to the basics
Flowers are a key component to holiday entertaining but why not rethink classics, like carnations? Tucked under different sized wreaths, they brought a whimsical touch to the event.

3. Etsy is your best friend
There are so many amazing calligraphers out there that are willing to work with you and your budget. Chances are you can probably even find one in your own hometown! Gigi provided a leftover piece of plywood from a home renovation project to calligrapher Olive Branch & Co, and the result was a seriously swoon-worthy menu!

4. Simplify
Instead of worrying about several eye-catching desserts, focus on just one. Place it on a raised pedestal to bring attention to it. Naked cakes are always a stunning choice, especially when garnished with flowers or seasonal fruits.

5. DIY decor
A can of gold spray paint can go a long way! Metallic home accents are all the rage around the holidays but often come at a hefty price tag. Why not just spray paint candle holders that are lying around the garage or at a thrift store? The gold candle holders in these pictures were actually lime green at one point in time! Paired with seasonal fruit like cranberries and pomegranates, the tables were all decked out and with little cost.

The fireplace is one of the main feature elements in a home at Christmas time and it can shine even brighter than the tree if you do it up right! A big comfy chair with cozy blankets and pillows is the easiest way to make this the most loved and used space in the house. We accented our mantle with various heights of pillar candles and a long draping boxwood garland which was the perfect backdrop for this amazing laser cut sign. Heaps of gifts wrapped in gorgeous lettered paper received a rope wrap and Laura’s festive gift tags! We piled these high using baskets and blankets. This scene is now the perfect place to write your holiday cards or cozy up with a good book and a mug of piping hot cocoa. I can’t think of any place I’d rather be.
