MELISSA’S PINK PERFECTION BABY SHOWER

BEST-FRIENDS-FOR-FROSTING-1
Are you ready for the most adorable baby shower you’ve ever seen?! Our very own Melissa created her sweet, pink, and super girly baby shower that was absolute perfection. With the help of her friends and family, she was able to enjoy the baby shower of her dreams which was styled in her parents backyard! The talented Nichole Bremer‘s photos of the shower will allow Melissa to relive this gorgeous day forever. The garden party baby shower featured gorgeous desserts from Sweet Cakes by Rebecca as well as food and an amazing quiche from Confetti & Bliss. You can see more of Melissa’s baby shower featured on Better Homes & Gardens today, we’re so excited! Read on below for the ultimate baby shower inspiration and what Melissa has to say about the special day:

“Now that the baby shower has been celebrated, everything officially feels REAL.  Baby Johnson #2 will be here in 5 weeks!  Do you want to know something funny?!  Over the years, I’ve always styled parties for photoshoots and corporate clients, but I rarely have an opportunity to style a real party for my friends and family in real life.  Sure we host dinner parties and have people over…  But I don’t get to host big parties as often as I would like.  So obviously, when my baby shower date was set, I jumped (actually I lunged) at the opportunity to style my dream baby shower.  I had a creative vision that I pulled together with the help of my mom who hosted the shower, friend Denay, and mother in-law who helped me pull all the details together.  I am literally tickled PINK with the outcome and now, I am patiently watching the calendar for my baby girl to arrive.”

CREATIVE TWINKLE BABY SPRINKLE WITH BLOOM DESIGNS

A baby shower is such an exciting way to celebrate a new member of your family! Although some mommy-to-be’s don’t feel that it’s necessary to have a shower after your first child, a “baby sprinkle” is the perfect alternative. Jenny from Bloom Designs put together the most adorable baby sprinkle for her sister, keeping with a gold and white theme to create a crisp and fun look. We are seriously loving all of the little details that truly made the party! Between the calligraphy invitations, wood cut-outs, and glamorous place settings, we just can’t get enough! Check out Jenny’s party below for some amazing baby shower (or baby sprinkle) inspiration:

“Since this was my sister’s second baby she wasn’t sure she wanted a shower. I am a huge believer that every baby should be celebrated and since I am a party stylist by trade, I am always looking for a reason to host a party!  We compromised on having a sprinkle rather than a full shower.  My sister wanted it to be clean, simple, and pretty and chose a color palette of mostly white with pops of metallic.  White is my favorite color so I loved working with such an elegant color scheme.
The front porch was filled with balloons and a welcome sign on the door.  Once inside, guests were greeted with a wooden twinkle cut out that perfectly matched the invitation and were asked to write a wish for the baby to be in a book.  The shower was outside on my patio which was decorated with lots of mylar balloon, pretty linens, metallic gold accents where ever possible, simple posters, and hundreds of stars. Lunch consisted of the mommy to be’s favorites- salads, roasted vegetables, cous cos and mini sandwiches.  The centerpieces were filed with all white blooms including the mommy to be’s favorites, peonies and garden roses.
The dessert table was filled with all white treats using gold accents where possible.  A two tiered simple white cake with star garland was the focal point of the table. It was filled with macarons decorated with gold stars, cake pops, mini parfaits, powdered donuts and custom sugar cookies. During the party guests were asked for baby name suggestions and filled in an advice card.”
