What are the basics of applying make-up?

face-makeup
The first thing to remember is to apply all the moisturizers before you apply make up. So, first thing's first, apply a thin moisturizer that way your foundation and primer will go on easier. (Have you ever tried to apply foundation to a dry face? Not easy and not pretty at all.) Next, apply a primer with a sunscreen, even in the winter. The primer helps the make up last longer in the day and protects your skin from the foundation. Next, you put on the foundation and then the concealer.

Applying Basic Makeup makes you Beauty

Depending on the look you want to achieve, the base always starts with a clean face followed by moisturizer. If you're using BB cream, you can skip that. There are also moisturizers enriched with SPF so you can skip the sunscreen if you like. What I did before was apply my sunblock before my foundation. For summer, don't put on too much because sweat and dirt can block pores. Try a water-based lightweight moisturizer, liquid foundation, then dust a bit of loose powder to help set your look. For winter, choose special moisturizers with triple hydration plus liquid foundation. Because skin tends to be dry during this season, you can skip the powder and simply go for a highlighter or bronzer. Dust on your cheeks and a bit on the forehead to catch the light and achieve a dewy glow.

This is what I normally do,  Here is my very own and personal opinion on Basic Makeup

  • If you have any topical medications be sure to apply these to freshly cleansed skin before anything else
  • Serum
  • Moisturizer
  • Sunscreen (or simply use a moisturizer that has sun protection in it)
  • Let all of that soak in for a bit, then use a primer
  • Foundation + concealer
  • Powder to set #5
  • Eye-shadow (optional, but for long-wearing, be sure to use an eye primer)
  • Liner (optional)
  • Mascara
  • Fill in brows (optional)
  • Bronzer/contour
  • Blush (sometimes I skip)
  • Highlighter and blend overall cheek area (optional)
  • Lip gloss, or lipstick (sometimes I skip and use a balm)

Simple Face Painting

facepainting cheek artStart off by selecting the type of design you want. Simple face painting cheek art designs work great.
Try doing freehand designs that flow like the one the left. There are no mistakes with this type of face painting – It’s artistic expression!
The cheek area is perfect for designs like a star or half moon. If you’re doing fairy makeup then designs like small flowers and swirls are perfect.
For vampire makeup looks try lightning bolts, webs or even the letter “V.”
The new gel eyeliner pens in rich intense colors are great to use for face painting designs.

“Mineral makeup pigments give rich color!”

How To Face Paint

Makeup Trick: There’s a simple makeup trick that makeup artists use for blending makeup and it works great for face painting cheek art. You can use a small amount of liquid glycerin mixed with water to make powders blend better and last longer. However, it’s better to use just distilled water. Water will actually intensify the color.
IMPORTANT: Never use this on children. You need to be aware of the fact that some people react to glycerin – it can burn their skin. Always do a skin test on the inside of the elbow before you use it. Do not use it near the eyes.
Using Stencils: If you want to do a design like a star then use a stencil. Dip a white makeup wedge into a little distilled water and squeeze it dry. Then swipe it across a gold eyeshadow and dab over the stencil. You can make stars that are more vivid by using blue and violet colors. You can even create the base with a blue or violet and then dab silver eyeshadow over it.

Simple Face Painting Designs

Freehand face painting with makeup is fun! It’s done by using a combination of colored eyeliner pencils and eye shadows. There are two ways to do it:
    • You can outline a design first and fill it in with color.
    • Or you can color and then outline for more definition.
    • Embellish your designs with crystal tattoos.
  • Temporary tattoos can be cut apart and combined with face painting to make a truly unique design.
Experiment with a design on your arm first and see which method you prefer. It’s an easy area to practice on.
Take a makeup brush with a fine tip like you would normally use to apply concealer and use that one to fill in small delicate areas.
Simple Tip
Use mineral makeup metallic eye-shadow in place of glitter. It will give you the same effect and its looks more elegant than glitter.

Using makeup for face painting cheek art works beautifully, but remember it’s not designed to last as long as regular face paint. That’s why it’s used primarily for face painting on adults. It’s great for fantasy pictures, a few hours at a festival or an evening party.

When you’re ready to take your artistic skills to the next level then explore using airbrush makeup designs with professional makeup products.

You can use contour makeup for this New Year Party Girls ! We all love to do makeup and we are all set when it comes to makeup. We do makeup for different occasions like daily makeup, party makeup, marriage makeup etc… Professional makeup artists of celebrities are using contouring makeup from years; it is quite easy to do if you practice it for 3-4 times. But before doing contouring makeup one should know the attractive feature of the face and you should know how and what feature of your face you want to highlight using contouring makeup.

Cap 1

Contouring with makeup enhances more dimensions to your face by adding shadows and highlights, playing up your cheekbones, highlighting your lips and even reshaping your nose and forehead. It looks so effective and attractive that contouring is regularly the secret glam reason in the gorgeous red-carpet looks of many celebrities. I personally love to do contouring my face with makeup. Now you can also get the look at home with simple step-by-step guide. Contouring is all about redefining and enhancing certain positive features—what you want to highlight and what you want to get rid of.
Read on to know the Easy Steps for Contouring Your Face with Makeup :

The Kit What You’ll Need :
Bronzer
Blush
Highlighter
Angled contour brush
Fluffy blush brush

First using fingertips or a Kabuki brush apply foundation to even out your skin, don’t worry about varsity-level coverage. It’s simply about creating a uniform base for makeup.

Now start doing contouring your face with makeup:

1. Choose the Right Bronzer Color :

Pick bronzers, a pair of shades darker than your natural skin tone. Try to stick with a matte bronzer as opposite to one with shimmer. As it will help to create complexity and shape to the face.
2. Find Your Face Outlines:

Apply bronzer along the dips of your cheeks. If you are using it for the first time then try out this trick, the best way to find the right spot for application of bronzer is to make “fish lips”. Follow the line in a semi-circular shape, be sure it’s somewhat parallel to your jaw line and reaches up to the hairline. Starting apply very little and light shades and increase it slowly, it will help you to create a neat and perfect shape.

 3. Curve on Blush :

Using a round blush makeup brush, gently apply blush on the apples of your cheeks and back near the temples. The area must be right overhead the bronzer application area to confirm a smooth and neat blend.

4. Blending Time:

Cap 2
Once you have applied the blush in place, use the blush brush (try using big brush so that it will help to blend neatly and evenly) to blend the bronzer and blush together using a circular polishing motion. This step is very important, as you don’t want any noticeable lines across your face where one ends and the other arises.

 5. Highlight Those Cheekbones:

The easy step is to highlight the cheekbones to make your face attractive. Apply the highlighter directly on the cheekbones, just overhead the blush area. Your cheekbones are located at the highest part of the outer cheek, contouring will make your cheeks noticeable and gives an eye catching look.

6. Contour Your Nose Area:
Apply bronzer on both side of nose and gently blend it using small blending brush. Now apply highlighter on the top area of your nose which joins the forehead and light dust the highlighter.  Now gently dust the whole area of nose using big blush brush.

 7. Last Step:
Last step take a powder brush start dusting all the face areas gently, it helps to remove any kind of excess makeup. Dusting should be outwards and it should very gently as you don’t want to dust out the makeup. Then you can carry on your regular makeup applying kajal, liner and lipstick.
